| €45.00Trauma-Sensitive Movement: Reconnecting with Yourself Safely
What is Trauma-Sensitive Yoga?
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY) offers a safe, gentle space where you can explore movement and breath in a way that feels right for you. It is designed to support people who have experienced trauma, such as:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Complex trauma
- Developmental trauma
This approach was developed by David Emerson and Dr. Bessel van der Kolk at the Justice Resource Institute (JRI) in Boston. It is an evidence-based method focused on choice, connection, and empowerment.
What are the sessions like?
In these sessions:
- You decide how you move; everything is an invitation, nothing is required.
- No yoga experience is needed.
- There are no physical corrections or adjustments.
- Safety, choice, and gentleness are central.
It is not about performing ‘perfect’ poses but about discovering what feels safe and supportive for your body in each moment.
What might you experience?
Through gentle movement and mindful attention, you may:
- Develop greater self-awareness
- Feel more grounded in the here and now
- Learn to make choices that feel right for you
- Experience moments of rest and connection

Participant Experiences
“I always thought yoga wasn’t for me because of my difficult relationship with my body. But here, I could really feel what was good for me. For the first time, I felt softness instead of tension.”
“After each session, I feel more connected to my body. It helps me in daily life, to notice when I need to pause and take better care of myself.”
“These sessions help me find small moments of safety and trust again. I used to feel disconnected from my body after my trauma, but now, step by step, I feel it’s okay to be here.”
