\nDeelneemster Foundational training 2022.  \n**** \nI took part in the foundation course for Trauma Sensitive Yoga online. For me\, this experience was one of the best I had ever in a course for healing and trauma\, as it combined in a perfect way the knowledge and the personal experience through exercises. I do believe Esther is one of the most empathetic\, highly experienced teacher in trauma\, one can have and I consider myself lucky to have found her and done her course. She created a safe place for us\, and a community environment although we were from different places of the world and online\, She managed to plant a seed of new perspective\, a new way of thinking about how we approach people with trauma and ourselves\, She broadened our capacity of understanding and our empathetic way of seeing things. She opened for our interoceptions to listen\, feel\, and be in the moment. As a person working in the health care system and a humanitarian organization  I truly believe that more people from this field\, nurses\, doctors\, social workers\, employees in institutes\, and humanitarian organizations should do this course as they can understand and feel more about how the trauma work and help more their patients and themselves.Thank you Esther for the life-changing lessons you gave us \nMaria Douvogianni -Greece\nMD\, Internist\, Foundational Trining  \nWe kijken ernaar uit je te verwelkomen. \nEsther

She opened for us our interoceptions to listen\, feel\, and be in the moment. As a person working in the health care system and a humanitarian organization\, I truly believe that more people from this field\, nurses\, doctors\, social workers\, employees in institutes\, and humanitarian organizations should do this course as they can understand and feel more about how the trauma work and help more their patients and themselves.Thank you Esther for the life-changing lessons you gave us \nMaria Douvogianni\nMD\, Internist\, Greece.\nOnline Foundational training 2022

SUMMARY:Dissociation Professional Online Training
DESCRIPTION:Summary\nThis live and online training will introduce participants to complex trauma-related dissociation with the aim to bring awareness in an effort to facilitate the process of healing and expand on counselling and therapeutic skills. \nEsther van der Sande will guide you as you expand your understanding of the effects of dissociation and how this can affect not only the mind but a person’s ability to connect\, learn and participate in therapeutic practices. \nThis training offers participants an opportunity to build a space to help your clients with an informed empathetic approach. \nIntroduction to Dissociation\nThis interactive one-day training course builds on our training programmes that offer a clinical framework and introduces the concept of dissociation. \nThis training addresses the specific topic and views dissociation as a spectrum\, exploring dissociation in everyday life and broadening this to complex trauma-related dissociation. \nTraining description\nDissociation can be subtle and often difficult to recognise. It is often overlooked in treatment for this reason\, and also because it is generally understood as Dissociative Identity Disorder\, better known as DIS or DID\, which sits at the one end of the spectrum. \nThis training programme provides important information\, opportunities\, tools and strategies to support the recognition of dissociation and working with people experiencing dissociation in a therapeutic setting. \nThis training is based on research and recognition of Complex Trauma-related Dissociation\, which is a useful adjunct to this training. \nBy engaging in this professional development training\, participants will: \n\nExplore structural dissociation and the organization of personality.\nLearn about the concepts of dissociation and understand the continuum of dissociative experiences.\nComplex trauma-related dissociation and its impact on the body\, mind and relationships.\nExplore how to adjust for the possibility of dissociation in a therapeutic setting.\n\nWho should attend this training?\nThis training is aimed at therapists with knowledge about complex trauma and clinical skills\, and who work in a therapeutic/counselling role with complex trauma clients and use clinical assessment\, case formation and treatment/care planning in their daily practice. \nPsychologists\, counsellors\, psychotherapists\, psychiatrists and social workers in a counselling role will find this training to be appropriate. \nThis training is also a great addition for people who have done the 20-hour foundational training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga. \nThis training does not cover the basics of trauma and complex trauma. It is expected that those who are working in this field and register for the training will have this basic understanding. \nWhen and where\nThis one-day training is on Wednesday\, 25 January 2023\, from 14h00 to 19h00 CET\, and will be offered online via Zoom. \n\nPrice\n€250 per person (excluding 21% VAT) \nGroup discount available. For more information please contact esther@traumasensitiveyoganederland.com \nThis training will be facilitated in English and will be presented by Esther\, a somatic psychotherapist\, trainer and consultant who has over 20 years of experience in phycology and trained many professionals in the field. \nMore information\nIf you would like to find out more or have specific questions regarding this program\,  please contact info@traumasensitiveyoganederland.com \nWe are looking forward to welcoming you to our training. \nWarm greetings\,\nEsther & team \nIf you are unable to attend this training please click HERE for alternative dates.

Over time participants begin to experience the effects of taking positive action and making choices. \nIf you are interested in joining the TCTSY online classes for the first time\, you are welcome to get in touch with Eva (eva@traumasensitiveyoganederland.com). Eva will then invite you for a phone conversation to discuss Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and further explore together what you can expect from an online lesson. The phone conversation also gives you the possibility to ask any questions you may have\, and it assists the creation of a safe space for everyone by getting to know one another. If you are unsure if the classes suit you and your current journey\, Eva is also available to explore this further and together find a suitable next step for you. \nExtra important information\nNo previous yoga experience is necessary. Please note that the Tuesday evening lesson is a mixed lesson\, meaning all genders are welcome. If you have any questions please contact us directly via mail to eva@traumasensitiveyoganederland.com \nThis yoga class is not meant for yoga teachers or mental health workers who would like to become trauma-informed or learn about trauma-sensitive yoga as a form of professional development. I do believe Esther is one of the most empathetic\, highly experienced teacher in trauma\, one can have and I consider myself lucky to have found her and did her course. She created a safe place for us\, and a community environment although we were from different places of the world and online\, She managed to plant a seed of new perspective\, a new way of thinking about how we approach people with trauma and ourselves\, She broadened our capacity of understanding and our empathetic way of seeing things. She opened for us our interoceptions to listen\, feel\, and be in the moment. As a person working in the health care system and a humanitarian organization  I truly believe that more people from this field\, nurses\, doctors\, social workers\, employees in institutes\, and humanitarian organizations should do this course as they can understand and feel more about how the trauma work and help more their patients and themselves.Thank you Esther for the life-changing lessons you gave us \nMaria Douvogianni\nMD\, Internist\, Greece.\nOnline Foundational training May 2022

SUMMARY:Community Group April '22 - English Spoken
DESCRIPTION:Community Group “Mind Your Gut Part 2”\nWelcome to Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Nederland’s Community Group! \nWe wanted to create an online space where we can come together\, learn about different topics that have to do with the effects of trauma\, and if you feel comfortable to share a little bit about your own experience with the topic. In the past\, we’ve explored topics such as; trauma and your brain\, trauma and memory\, trauma and self-care\, and trauma and your gut. The latter will be the topic that we will explore during the next Community Group on Sunday the 10th of April from 16.00 – 17.00  Central European Summer Time (CEST) \nWhat is a Community Group?\nDuring the one-hour LIVE-ONLINE Community Group\, we will engage in a short Trauma-Sensitive Yoga practice\, introduce a topic to you (introduced by a speaker)\, and open the group for a discussion\, if this is useful to you. You are by no means obligated to share. \nWe organize a Community Group once a month\, to come together and to let you know that you are not alone on this journey. During the online lessons\, there isn’t much time to discuss or perhaps learn about trauma and the body. This is what we prioritize during Community Group. It isn’t a group therapy session\, simply a place to come together and potentially learn. \nEvery Community Group we have a different speaker introducing a different topic\, and every Community Group we will have a different Co-Host\, this month: \nSpeaker – Nicole Renne \nCo-Host – Esther van der Sande \nIf you’ve missed the first one\, don’t worry\, Nicole will give a short recap on the previous Community Group. She will then explore microbiota further with us\, in particular the influence on our mental and physical health. Nicole will also introduce ways to support your body and your gut. \nIf you do not attend the online lessons you are also welcome to join the Community Group and learn about trauma and the body. \nThe group will be facilitated in English\, however\, the co-host will be translating in the chatbox where needed. The zoom link will be sent to those attending closer to the time.

SUMMARY:Trauma-Sensitive Yoga April Live & Online April
DESCRIPTION:Trauma-Sensitive Yoga LIVE ONLINE  Lessons\nWhen we have received your payment you will receive a password to enter the Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Live Sessions online.   \nTrauma-Sensitive Yoga provides a safe place where people can begin to connect with their bodies\, and their breath\, in relation to the trauma. Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an effective adjunctive\, and complementary treatment for those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)\, complex or developmental trauma. This technique was developed by David Emerson at the Justice of Resource Institute (JRI) in Boston\, MA. \nSensitive Techniques\nTCTSY participants are invited to notice and feel sensations within their bodies throughout the practice. Participants are then encouraged to make choices about what they do and how they move with their bodies based on what they sense. This supports participants to investigate what choice feels supportive for them\, taking cues from their own individual experience. There are no physical/hands-on assists provided. \nBody-centered Exploration\nTCTSY applies choice and body-centered self-awareness to support a recovery process\, a gentle intervention that initiates healing through people regaining a relationship with the present moment and their body. The language used throughout a yoga session is invitational and encourages curiosity to explore what one might feel in different parts of their body based on the form they are choosing to take. If you are a professional and are interested in this form of yoga please click here for more information about professional training with Trauma Sensitive Yoga Nederland. For questions or more information about these classes\, you can contact Esther directly via email. \nTo ensure trauma-sensitive yoga is accessible and inclusive for all survivors of complex and developmental trauma\, we offer a selected number of places for participants to join our online TCTSY classes free of charge. These places are offered on an individual needs basis for those who may be unable to pay the monthly fees or registration and are part of our diversity\, equity\, and inclusion initiative. \nIf this is something you are interested in applying for\, you are welcome to contact us via email at info@traumasensitiveyoganederland.com to discuss your situation\, and together we can find a solution to continue sharing TCTSY together.
